WINE
Sparking and Rose
Moët & Chandon Brut Imperial NV, Napa Valley, California
Created in 1869, it embodies Moët & Chandon’s unique style – one distinguished by its bright fruitiness, seductive palate and elegant maturity. A sparkling bouquet that exudes a golden straw yellow with green highlights. The vibrant intensity of green apple and citrus fruit, the freshness of mineral nuances and white flowers, the elegance of blond notes (brioche, cereal, fresh nuts). A generous palate combining sumptuousness and subtlety.
Pol Roger Brut Réserve NV, Épernay, France
Displays a beautiful golden straw hue, as well as abundant and fine bubbles. With a powerful and attractive nose, it first delivers aromas of fruit (pear, mango) and then releases light flavors of honeysuckle and white jasmine, lingering on vanilla and brioche notes. Behind a frank and dynamic attack, the wine encompasses a nice harmony and a pleasant freshness while preserving some structure. On the palate, flavors of cooked fruit (quince jelly, apricot jam) happily mingle with fragrances of beeswax and acacia honey. The long-lasting aromas, composed of both fruity (candied orange peel, tangerine) and spicy notes (cardamom, anise) is outstanding. The structure and vinosity add elegance and freshness.
2023 Wölffer Estate Summer in a Bottle Rosé, Sagaponack, New York
The color shines in a pale salmon shade with a soft pink hue. Aromas of ripe rose petals, cranberry, red currant and subtle herbal notes create an inviting bouquet. On the palate, vibrant red berry fruit meets refreshing acidity, perfectly balanced by a fine tannin structure and a touch of classic minerality.
White
2022 Alberto Orte Atlantida Blanco (Vigiriega Blanca), Andalucia, Spain
Very clean aromas and flavors of white peach, pear and ripe apple with a hint of white earth. It’s medium-bodied with a creamy texture and a fresh, polished finish. A clear and structured white with lovely texture and salinity. Aged in used 600-liter barrels. Made from vijariego blanco.
2023 Seehof Chardonnay Steingrube R, Westhoven, Germany
It’s the acidity that makes the Seehof Steingrube “R” feel finer, nimbler, more cooling and refreshing. Florian Fauth, the humble yet determined winemaker at Seehof, makes wines that rarely shout or beg for attention – they simply deliver.
2021 Chardonnay Sanford & Benedict Vineyard, Santa Barbara, California
Stone fruits, white flowers, spicy oak and a kiss of chalky minerality all define the aromatics, and it’s medium-bodied on the palate, with a pure, elegant, layered mouthfeel, flawless balance and a great finish. It shows the balanced, complete and incredibly impressive style of the 2021 vintage.
Red
2020 La Bastide Saint Dominique Chateauneuf du Pape Secrets de Pignan, Rhone Valley, France
Very complex and bursting with sunshine fruits, sweet spices, scrubland and humus. Marked by delicate tannins, intense and ripe fruits. Finale reveals a surprising length endowed with peppered notes. Wine with a lot of roundness and depth with a typical “old vine” tannin structure.
2019 Château Barde-Haut, Saint-Émilion, France
The wine of Château Barde-Haut offers an admirably balanced dialogue between power and freshness, resulting in a product of rare elegance.
2022 Bedrock Syrah, Sonoma, California
